This presentation addresses the differential diagnosis of behavioral issues in late adulthood. The following problems are described: delirium, dementia, depression, psychosocial triggers, and physical discomfort. The impact of somatic conditions and medication side effects are discussed. Prevalence and risk factor data are also presented. Clinical data is described to differentiate between the disorders.
