This L.A. Area APNA/California Chapter Meeting is at no cost to the participants. Members and nonmembers are welcome, including Psychiatric RNs, Nurse Managers, Supervisors, and any Nurse that wishes to enhance his/her practice by networking with others in the field.

Refreshments will be provided by APNA CA. One contact hour provided to members, non-members cost per contact hour is $10.

FREE Parking is available in the employee open surface parking lot on the corner of Wilson Terrace and Vallejo Drive.

2015 Chapter Annual Conference
Psychiatric Nurses Leading the Way:  Developing and Influencing Psychiatric Leaders

We cordially invite Psychiatric Mental Health Nurses, Nurse Managers, Supervisors, MFTs, LCSWs, and any clinician that wishes to enhance his/her mental health practices or networking with others in the mental health field to attend our annual conference.

The American Psychiatric Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This course also meets the qualifications for continuing education credit for MFTs and /or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider Number PCE 4945.

Conference Objectives:

  1. Identify three examples of paths toward successful nursing leadership in mental health care
  2. Evaluate and develop your skills for leading a mental health focused Interdisciplinary Team
  3. Characterize your commitment to organizing collaborative mental health adventures within your own community.

Refund policy:

Notification of cancellation must be received in writing to Antony Wilson at by March 25, 2015 to receive a refund minus a $25 administrative fee. Please allow three weeks for processing. Telephone cancellations are not eligible for a refund, and no refunds will be issued after March 25, 2015.

Call for Abstracts

We are seeking presenters for the 2015 Conference.  This is a great opportunity to share with your colleagues the important work you've been doing. Our theme on Psychiatric Nurses leading the way: Developing and influencing psychiatric leaders; is intended to encompass all types of leadership experiences, from motivating changes in how we treat patients (in any setting) to influencing or even becoming legislative leaders. Please be sure to send all questions and or submissions to Cheryl Odell or Catherine OReilly.
