Program Description:

Are you treading water in your attempts to achieve optimal outcomes in persons with schizophrenia? Join us for this symposium as we provide clinical pearls to move beyond symptomatic remission and strive to achieve recovery. We will tackle the key aspects of recovery and effective strategies to support persons with schizophrenia to develop recovery-oriented, self-management plans. This comprehensive, multi-phase initiative will include dialogue with a mental health consumer, providing a unique perspective on the challenges of schizophrenia and insights on how psychiatric mental health nurses can best support optimal outcomes. A sequential online activity will be available following the symposium, allowing attendees to follow a consumer introduced during the symposium over follow-up interactions as part of a long-term comprehensive care scenario.
