Just Culture offers an approach to building principles of workplace action that facilitates system safety by encouraging open communication, accountability, and safety.
This 90-minute online presentation will offer insight into the principles of just culture and the utility of those principles for optimal psych nursing practice---medication administration, use of restraints, treatment adherence, diagnosis, and emerging interventions.
Intended audience: nurses, student nurses, and other mental health professionals
Program Objectives
1. Describe a clinical culture of patient safety and a model of shared accountability.
2. Apply the model to case studies and lessons learned in clinical settings.
Application has been made to APNA for 1 .5 Contact Hours
The American Psychiatric Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
