Indiana Chapter History

The Indiana Chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses' Association (APNA-IN) represents psychiatric mental health nurses throughout Indiana and is affiliated with our parent organization, APNA. As a result of Psychiatric Nursing voices throughout Indiana, ICAPNA was chartered in New Orleans during the annual national APNA convention in Oct. 1997. The IN chapter then went on to become the winner of the Innovative Chapter Award in 1998.

Indiana University School of Nursing Preceptor Recruitment & Appreciation Dinner, followed by a discussion and dialogue on Addressing the politics of educational preparation and clinical practice role issues related to the Psychiatric CNS/NP titles.
