The South Dakota Chapter received its charter from APNA in October 2004. The goal of this chapter is to keep the membership current in practice through educational offerings at meetings and sponsoring a statewide conference annually. This chapter is the only formal professional organization for psychiatric nurses in South Dakota. The APNA South Dakota Chapter provides a local forum for psychiatric nurses to network and develop innovative ways to promote the role, practice, and standards of psychiatric-mental health nursing.
Any psychiatric nurses practicing or residing in South Dakota is invited to become an active member of the South Dakota Chapter. At present, there are no additional chapter dues for APNA members. If you are interested in joining or renewing your membership, please see the Membership tab on APNA’s home page for more information about the application process and dues.
For nurses who are not members of APNA, dues for the South Dakota Chapter are $20 annually. The membership year is July 1–June 30. For membership information, please contact Dawn Hahn, RN-BC, at email@example.com.
