Cheryl has worked in the mental health field since 1998. Cheryl began her career as a program counselor on the Adolescent and Dual Diagnosis units at Peninsula Hospital. She has held diverse positions including admission assessor, safety net pharmacy assistant and triage counselor for Youth Villages mobile crisis. She has a BS in Social Work and then completed the Masters Bridge program, graduating from UTK with her MSN, now ANCC as a Psychiatric MH NP. She has worked with the Crisis Stabilization Unit, and with her minor in Gerontology, has provided care for elderly NH residents. She serves as a Clinical Preceptor for UTK’s MSN program and recently became a Psych Clinical Instructor for Pellissippi State's undergraduate nursing program. She has volunteered with Big Brothers/Big Sister of E TN for the past 10 years. Cheryl works with the Intensive Case Management Program at Helen Ross Mcnabb and is an amazing advocate for the clients.
