The Future of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing in Iowa: Leading Change and Advancing Mental Health

Enable conference participants to identify current evidence-based practice advances in psychiatric mental health nursing and strategies for implementing evidence-based projects within their professional practice.

Program Objectives:
1. Identify two ways a nurse can serve as a leader and change agent within their psychiatric mental health practice.
2. Discuss components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and identify applications for inpatient and outpatient settings.
3. Identify strategies and resources available at the national and state level to assist with evidence-based projects and implementation.

At the completion of this activity participants can earn 5.5 contact hours provided by APNA.
The American Psychiatric Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation
