Position Papers and Standards
Dear APNA Friends and Family,

On behalf of APNA, I am very pleased to present the updated APNA Seclusion and Restraint Position Statement and Standards. These two documents were originally published in 2000 and have been revised to reflect the evolving nature of our practices and the new CMS and JCAHO guidelines.

We are extremely grateful to the Task Force on Seclusion and Restraint, which was ably co-chaired by Lynn DeLacy and Amy Rushton.
