Safety Protocols Information

We look forward to welcoming you to the APNA Clinical Psychopharmacology Institute at the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, Virginia as we celebrate the return of in-person learning!

Our first responsibility at the APNA Clinical Psychopharmacology Institute is to our valued nurses and members. We are 100% committed to your health and safety, which is why we are putting rigorous plans in place for our safe return to an in-person conference.

APNA is committed to delivering education in a safe environment and will implement additional protocols as needed to protect against the spread of COVID-19. We are working closely with the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, Virginia as we follow all federal, state, local, and CDC guidelines.

Changes to any on-site safety protocols will be reflected here. Please be sure to bookmark this page to stay informed of any adjustments to our plans.


Before You Arrive

Choose your comfort zone: To attend CPI in person, you must be able to present proof that you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by May 25, 2022.

Don’t forget your mask! Masks are strongly recommended in all conference spaces including meeting rooms and public spaces unless you are actively eating or drinking.

Complete a self-assessment: We encourage you to conduct a COVID-19 self-assessment using the CDC’s COVID-19 Self-Checker below. If you have any symptoms, please contact inform@apna.org so that we can set you up to attend the conference virtually.


Arriving at CPI

Plan: We advise you to allow an extra 30 minutes of time for your arrival on the first day. To keep things flowing smoothly, please be sure to read through the “Know Before You Go” information and follow our signage on-site.

Visit the registration desk: Registration is on the second floor of the Hyatt Regency Reston. It is open 3-6pm on Thursday June 9; 7:30am-5:30pm Friday and Saturday; and 7:30am-3:30pm on Sunday.

Please be prepared to show your COVID-19 proof of vaccination when you arrive.

Wear your badge at all times: Once you have shown proof of vaccination, you will be given your conference badge allowing you to access the meeting.
