Our hope is that all Kentucky psychiatric nurses will make a difference through the work of APNA KY Chapter.

Chapter Goals

The Kentucky Chapter received its charter on November 3, 2005 at the annual meeting of APNA in Nashville, TN. There were 30 Kentucky members in attendance. The Kentucky Chapter represents APNA members throughout the state. From the time the chapter development was initiated until the charter was received, Kentucky Chapter members grew from 33 to 66. All regions of the state are represented. All levels of practice and all practice areas are involved.

  • To unify and strengthen psychiatric nursing in KY
  • To promote safe, effective and accessible mental health care in KY.
  • Promote psychiatric nursing to students, other nurses and health professionals and the public.
