The South Carolina Chapter received its charter from APNA in October, 1996.
After a period of dormancy, the revitalization process began in 2015 with the appointment of a Temporary Leadership Comittee.  Kathrene Brendell will serve as the Chapter Leader until formal board elections are held.


Mission Statement
To unite psychiatric nurses and APNA members across the state in a quest to increase knowledge and provide support to all nurses -- and to the friends and families of nurses.

Chapter Goals
Provide a resource place for members and non-members to get together, share ideas, and communicate across the state catch up on the latest legislative updates--on both state and national levels Increase membership in our state in order to strengthen the voice of psychiatric nursing.


Any APNA member who lives in South Carolina is automatically a member of the South Carolina Chapter.
