American Psychiatric Nurses Association Annual Conference Proposal

Dear [Insert Name]:

I am writing to request approval to attend the virtual American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) Annual Conference, September 30 - October 4. The APNA Annual Conference offers an educational program specifically for psychiatric-mental health nurses, featuring the latest advances in evidence-based practice, education, research and administration across settings and topics.

APNA Annual Conference attendees have the opportunity to earn more than 120 continuing education (CE) contact hours through conference attendance and on demand sessions that are included. This maximizes my opportunities for learning and adds incredible value and flexibility to the full conference registration fee.

By attending the APNA Annual Conference, I’ll have access to more than 300 sessions and poster presentations exploring an array of current trends and issues of importance to psychiatric-mental health nursing. I will also have numerous opportunities to connect with more than 1,600 members of our professional community and experts in the field. 99% of last year’s attendees said that the conference content increased their knowledge, skills, and/or judgment related to their practice of psychiatric nursing. After the conference, I will share this new information with our organization and apply it personally to my work in order to improve outcomes.

The APNA Annual Conference offers educational sessions on topics from among the following that are directly tied to our strategic initiatives and my own professional development goals, [insert strategic initiatives & personal goals here], including: [Select topics that apply below]
