Chapter Goals
Ohio was the first state Chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, receiving our charter on October 14, 1993 at APNA's Annual Conference. The mission of the Ohio Chapter is the professional development of psychiatric-mental health nurses through networking and education. As a chapter, Ohio is divided into five regions: Southwest, Columbus, Southeast, Northeast, and Northwest. It is a goal of the Chapter that each region will have its own networking and educational opportunities in addition to State-wide meetings.
Membership
Membership in the Ohio Chapter is open to all registered nurses and student nurses in Ohio who are also current members of APNA. There is no additional fee. The member count in January, 2005 was 216. Nonmembers are invited to attend programs but do not have voting privileges within the Chapter.
