APNA Ohio Chapter
Ohio was the first state Chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, receiving our charter on October 14, 1993 at APNA’s Annual Conference. The mission of the Ohio Chapter is the promote the professional development of psychiatric-mental health nurses through networking and education. As a chapter, Ohio is divided into five regions: Southwest, Columbus, Southeast, Northeast, and Northwest. It is a goal of the Chapter that each region will have its own networking and educational opportunities in addition to State-wide meetings.
Any APNA member who resides in Ohio is automatically a member of the Ohio Chapter. If you are interested in joining or renewing your membership, please see the Membership tab on APNA’s home page for more information about the application process and dues.
If you are not receiving information via e-mail from the chapter, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your updated contact information. We want to be sure our members receive the information they need to benefit fully from their chapter membership!
Former Ohio Chapter President and longstanding APNA member Barbara Reece began a scholarship fund to support APNA Ohio Chapter members wishing to attend the APNA Annual Conference for the first time.
The scholarship will cover registration fees for two APNA Ohio Chapter members to attend the APNA 36th Annual Conference. Awardees have the choice of attending in person in Long Beach, California, or via virtual livestream on October 19-22. A scholarship will be awarded to one student member and one regular member who has not attended the APNA Annual Conference in the past.
