Johnson & Johnson Supporting Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses

Psychiatric-mental health registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses (PMH RNs and PMH APRNs) are instrumental members of a treatment team with a whole-person approach to patient care. By creating a platform for Psych RNs and APRNs to share their unique experiences, more PMH nurses can connect without being limited by geography. Johnson & Johnson is on a mission to bring hope to people living with psychiatric disorders. With the right care, they can lead a typical life—and that starts with a positive patient-provider relationship. Find content created especially for Psych nurses below, and feel free to share these articles with your colleagues!

As a member of APNA, the field medical affairs team at Neurocrine Biosciences is pleased to provide educational resources to assist in your clinical assessment of drug-induced abnormal movements. These abnormal movements may be observed in patients in both inpatient and outpatient psych settings. Recognition and appropriate differentiation of drug-induced movement disorders (DIMDs), including akathisia, drug-induced parkinsonism (DIP), dystonia, and tardive dyskinesia (TD) are imperative to appropriate treatment since improper treatment may make DIMDs worse.
