APNA holds courses for persons interested in becoming facilitators of the APNA Competency Based Training for Suicide Prevention throughout the year. For questions about the training and/or the process for becoming a facilitator, please email advocatesforhope@apna.org.

Facilitator Training of the APNA Competency Based Training for Suicide Prevention
February 9, 2020 - May 31, 2020
Course Overview: Through weekly online modules and a two-day live intensive session, this course trains experienced nurses to deliver the APNA Competency Based Training for Suicide Prevention. Facilitators who successfully complete this course gain content expertise in suicide prevention and the facilitation of an educational training. They are able to work with institutions to deliver the training and are also included in the group of facilitators with whom APNA coordinates when organizations schedule a training through APNA.
Nursing Continuing Professional Development: 15.0 contact hours.*
*In order to receive contact hours for the program, learners must: participate in and successfully complete all course components, including the on-site facilitator training and testing. No partial credit will be awarded.

Registration Fees: $500 for APNA members / $750.00 for nonmembers
(Travel and lodging for the required in-person component of the training are not included in registration fee. Travel recommendations will be sent to registrants in April 2020.)
Cancellation Policy: We do not issue refunds for the registration cost of the Competency Based Facilitator Training for Suicide Prevention once the purchase is completed. If you are unable to complete the online and live training per your registration schedule, it may be possible to reschedule your registration for a future training.
