Lean on APNA
As I reflect on the past year serving as APNA president, I want to share the sense of support I have felt knowing that the largest association dedicated to advancing psychiatric-mental health nursing is truly focused on improving our professional experience.
With APNA by our side as we walk our PMH nursing journey, we can keep our skillsets sharp and up to date, learn and grow within a network of accomplished peers, and infuse the care we give with the knowledge we gain.
Here are three of the latest ways to lean on APNA to grow your practice, add your input, and connect:
- Motivational Interviewing is an essential eLearning course for strengthening therapeutic interactions to support behavior change, it’s newly updated and free for APNA members. Read the rave reviews!
- The APNA Workforce Survey is collecting responses from you and your colleagues and will contribute to a clearer national understanding of the PMH nursing workforce and impact access to care. Just 15 minutes of your time will help shape decisions that affect your work!
- The APNA 40th Annual Conference in Phoenix next month is where we’ll welcome nurses by the thousands to discover evidence-based strategies and a time of community. Register to join if you haven’t already!
And next month’s APNA Annual Activity Report will share even more about opportunities and resources.
I’m energized by serving you this year as APNA President and hope you feel as supported as I do as you explore these opportunities. See you in Phoenix!
