Where Nurse Wellness Advances Care

Where Nurse Wellness Advances Care

Friends, join me in imagining a future where it is understood that our well-being as psychiatric-mental health nurses is inseparable from the well-being of those in our care.

In that future, health care organizations build resilient systems, procedures, and cultures that ensure PMH nurses are safe and supported in providing the best quality care. The resilience we bring to the complex work of caring for individuals, families, and communities across the continuum of care is recognized, supported, and allowed to flourish. Our workforce is strong, sustained, and able to meet the need for services across all areas.

This future is possible, and it is essential. At my President’s Address during the APNA Annual Conference this October, we’ll explore new data and strategies for our profession, systems, and communities to build on strengths, foster resilience, improve wellness, and advance care for all.

I look forward to continuing this conversation with you there!
