Poster Presentation Awards

First and second place recognition will be awarded to posters in the categories of administration, research, education, practice and student. Poster judges review and score the poster pdfs via the submission site prior to the conference.

** Uploading a poster pdf by the August 4th deadline is required for contact hours purposes. However, you can decline your poster’s inclusion in poster judging. **

Eligibility/Participation

  • All presenters need to upload their posters to the submission site by August 4th; however, inclusion of your poster in the judging process is optional – it is not required for presentation at the conference. Posters submitted in an email cannot be included in judging.
  • Poster presentations must meet all NCPD contact hours requirements in order to be included.
  • Medical education/industry supported posters will be separate from the NCPD accredited education posters and will not appear in the Online Poster Gallery or for Poster Judging.

Criteria

  • Criteria are similar but slightly different for Administration, Education, and Practice versus Research. Your poster will be judged in the category selected when your abstract was submitted.
  • Student Presenters: If you are a student (or if you are presenting your poster on your thesis or capstone project), please respond to JMarshall@apna.org by August 4th with “STUDENT” and indicate the type of program (ex: “PhD” or “DNP”).
    • This will ensure your poster is reviewed for the Student category award
    • If you just graduated this year, you still qualify as a student for these purposes.

Winners

  • Poster judging begins after the poster program materials deadline.
  • Winning posters are announced on-site with a ribbon on their boards when the Poster Presentation hours open on Thursday at 10am.
  • Presenters of the winning posters also receive a certificate acknowledging their award, which is posted on their assigned board alongside the ribbon.
